      METZ CONNECT has expanded its range of modular PCB connectors in the M12 series to include D-coded variants in accordance with DIN EN 61076-2-101. The connectors are suitable for up to 100 Mbit and can therefore be used for data transmission with all common Ethernet protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Sercos, Powerlink, etc. Similar to the X-coded PCB sockets, the products are available in various forms depending on the installation situation and application. They are available as front panel and rear panel mountings, fully assembled (MMT361A115 and MMT371A115) or as kits (MMT361A115-0001 and MMT371A115-0001). For use in industrial environments, there are variants that meet IP67 sealing requirements when unplugged (MMT361A115-0009 and MMT371A115-0009). For high-volume device manufacturing and PCB assembly according to the latest manufacturing knowledge, the MMT060A115 PCB inserts are also available as a variant on tape on reel with a Kapton plate as an assembly aid (MMT060A1150-G2). Standard 15-inch reels with 160 pieces per reel are used. A major advantage of this product family is that all PCB sockets and inserts (D- and X-coded) have the same height and can be used in combination on a PCB (printed circuit board). In addition, the PCB sockets have a locking mechanism that holds them securely and reliably in the housing or flange, eliminating the need for additional fixing of the PCB in the housing. This PCB socket automatically expands the range of switch cabinet feed-throughs. In the same fully shielded metal housing, it is now also possible to route 2-pair systems from an IP20 environment to an IP67 environment, which in terms of connectors means RJ45 to M12 D-coded. These products are available in straight and angled versions (MWN811A115 and MWN911A115).

      The German S7 system provider INSEVIS was not only reliable able to deliver during Corona and the chip crisis, but also stands for S7 PLCs, S7 HMIs and S7 IIoT gateways made in Germany. The S7 CPUs can be programmed with Siemens SimaticManager/Classic and (!) Siemens TIA Portal and correspond to an S7-315-2PNDP in terms of command range and performance, but include CANopen, Modbus-TCP, 2 (separate) Ethernet and a serial CP with RS232 and 485. Flexibly configurable I/O modules are available onboard or remote. The compact connection of S7 PLCs with HMIs (and optionally also with I/Os) creates an S7-compatible solution for the smallest dimensions. The HMIs are configured with free software (similar to WinCCflexible) and can be duplicated remotely at no cost. Meanwhile the range will be expanded to include edge HMIs with the IoT functions of the INSEVIS gateways and automatically generated web visualisation. The VPN-enabled INSEVIS gateways collect 2,000 data points every 100ms from up to 100 PLCs and make them available as an OPC UA server and MQTT client (pub/sub) and also include NodeRED for special customer applications.

      How do a panel, an S7-PLC and so many IO´s fit in a depth of 43mm? INSEVIS shows how 12 digital inputs or outputs, 12 counting inputs, 3 analogue channels, each of which can be configured individually as an input or output and for current or voltage, and another 3 analogue inputs, which can be almost anything, can be combined on a 7″ panel PLC with this panel PLC in a full 44 (!) mm depth. Decentralised field devices are connected via the onboard interfaces Modbus (-TCP and -RTU), CAN (CANopen and Layer2), RS232 and RS485 (free ASCII). The two separately configurable Ethernet interfaces enable integration into your customer’s machine network and, at the same time, service access in a separate network for you.

      The Erlangen-based S7 system provider INSEVIS stands for S7 PLCs, S7 panels and S7 software made in Germany. The S7 CPUs are to be programmed with Siemens TIA Portal and correspond to an S7-315-2PNDP in terms of command range and performance, but already include CANopen, 2 (separate) Ethernet, Modbus-TCP and -RTU and a serial CP with RS232 and 485. The INSEVIS-S7 panels are projected with a (WinCCflexible-like) free software, have an S7 connection to an S7-CPU and can be duplicated remotely without costs. A converter from TIA-WinCC projects to INSEVIS format is available. Everything is currently deliveryable.
