      In many work environments, a floor-standing column is simply not an option. Whether this is because floor space is limited, because passageways need to remain clear, or because the workspace changes regularly – there is a great need for an alternative solution. With the Wizard Arm Overhead, we consistently move the technology upwards: the entire system is mounted on the ceiling, on a ceiling beam or within an X/Y rail system. This removes the column from the room – and makes way for what matters most: your work. The overhead arm hovers above the work area, creating space for fast, safe and ergonomic working. All movements take place within the working radius and the rail system, so that every position can be reached precisely and reliably – whether automatically or manually. At its heart is a lightweight swivel arm made of anodised aluminium profiles, fitted with a standardised centre joint that allows for maximum mobility. This enables the arm to reach every point in the work area – effortlessly and precisely. A key feature of the Wizard Arm Overhead is its versatility: • In the X/Y direction, the system can be moved either manually or driven by intelligent electric drive modules. • The arm can be positioned smoothly within its working radius. • Up and down movement is controlled simply via the control handle on the control unit. This allows the system to be precisely tailored to on-site requirements – from simple workstations to complex production processes. It combines the advantages of a compact design with the flexibility and performance of a large system – whilst being significantly more streamlined in terms of installation, effort and space requirements. A solution, therefore, that fits in rather than getting in the way – that’s just right.

      If a synchronous mains load is required or no neutral conductor is available, the devices in the DPNSW series are the right choice. The three-phase supply also provides phase redundancy within the power supply unit: If one phase fails, the output voltage of 24 V continues to be made available with reduced power. The Wöhrle DPNSW power supply series provides reliable power in the 240 W to 960 W range. The particularly slim devices also offer high space savings and very high efficiency levels to further optimise the efficiency of your systems. The DPNSW 2440 can also be connected in parallel to supply applications with a power requirement of more than 40 A. This enables a simple and uncomplicated power increase of up to several kW. This means that even higher outputs are available passively cooled on the DIN rail.

Available in various power ratings from 1 W to 200 W. Spur gearheads and right-angle gearboxes with hollow shafts are available to adapt torque and speed. Electromagnetic brakes are optionally available for selected motor sizes, specifically designed to hold loads in vertical applications.

      Compact DC worm gear motors from Seefrid, with an excellent price-performance ratio, are a good alternative to servo or three-phase motors for many motion processes. The drives from the DCGM 43 T50, DCGM 63 T50, and DCGM 63 T72 series offer high starting torque immediately available upon power-up, easy reversal of rotation direction by reversing the polarity of the supply voltage, and – thanks to operation with protective extra-low voltage – safety. A wide selection of speed, rated torque, and shaft designs ensures that the right drive is usually available for the respective application. Customer-specific adaptations are also possible depending on the quantity required. Many models also come with factory-installed incremental encoders. These encoders, located on the armature shaft, are usually designed as 2-channel Hall sensors. They can be used to measure the speed or solve simple positioning tasks with minimal effort.
