
KS right-angle servo gearbox – Successful lateral thinking
Compared to multi-stage variants, one-stage right-angle servo gearboxes have a more compact design and higher energy efficiency due to the reduced number of components. The new one-stage version is available in gear ratios 2 and 4. In combination with the compact STOBER planetary gearboxes, solutions consisting of multi-stage gearboxes with ratios from 6 to 400 can be implemented. The previous gear ratio range has therefore more than doubled. The KS right-angle servo gearbox features robust bearing technology, high-quality gearing technology and very high torsional stiffness. This makes it perfect for demanding applications with high dynamics. Thanks to low-friction bearing technology in the input, the KS gearbox achieves higher speeds across all variants than many competitors that rely on preloaded tapered roller bearings. In addition, the nominal torques have been increased by up to 20 percent. In combination with the smaller gear ratios, significantly higher output speeds are possible. The two- and three-stage gearboxes can be combined with various STOBER motors via direct attachment. Thanks to the space-saving drive, operators benefit from less weight in addition to high torque and the resulting increased power density. The mass moment of inertia of the gearbox is lower due to the absence of the motor adapter, meaning that the full dynamics of the drive can be used.

Modular mast bracket for all BOPLA industrial enclosures
Thanks to their high level of mechanical stability and also their resistance to UV radiation and changes in temperature, the Euromas and Bocube series of enclosures are the absolute specialists for outdoor use. They set the scene perfectly for modern industrial electronic products, which they also protect against extremely harsh environmental conditions, for example in IoT applications, in the radio technology sector or in smart cities. BOPLA has now developed a standardised high-quality stainless steel mast bracket for fitting to masts, posts, poles and pipes. Five sizes for the huge range of industrial enclosures The modular system consists of a mast bracket, a set of screws and a mast clamp. The special feature: BOPLA’s entire range of several hundred sizes and versions of industrial enclosures can be used with only five different mast bracket types. The positioning of the enclosures is not important, because fitting can be either vertical or horizontal. This flexibility is achieved by means of an intelligent arrangement of the drill hole diameters and positions, in addition to the partial use of slots. Stable mast bracket for every application The set of screws and the mast clamp are available separately. The automotive industry is a pioneer in this, including with heated headlamps and mirrors. When fitted in automobiles, transparent heating systems make it possible for vehicle automation sensors to generate precise 3D mapping in all weather situations. In the meantime, the field of use for transparent heating systems has expanded many times. KUNDISCH GmbH & Co. KG, the Villingen-Schwenningen manufacturer of membrane keypads and touch systems, uses special technology for its heating films. Harsh weather outdoors, temperature variations in a terrarium – together with other sensors, optical cameras must withstand the conditions existing in their field of application. In order to ensure that these cameras remain active, the field of view must always be free of condensation and ice. Harsh weather or temperature variations can become a genuine problem and put correct functioning at risk. The solution? Transparent heating systems which protect both the field of view and the sensors against external influences – always with maximum transparency.

The new multiple cable feed-through systems in the MCE Syntec series save considerable time and space during installation compared to installing individual cable glands. Thanks to their modular design and a wide range of sealing units, the configuration can be adapted at any time. Since the assembly uses freely combinable grommets, warehousing, procurement and assembly processes can be significantly simplified. The flexible design and separability of the systems enable easy feed-through and strain relief for multiple cables – regardless of whether they are already fitted with plug connectors. This also preserves the manufacturer's warranty for prefabricated connection cables. The separable multiple cable feed-throughs have a robust, fire-retardant plastic frame and comply with the standard cut-out dimensions and hole patterns used in switch cabinet and machine construction. Up to 40 cables can be combined in the largest frame with a nominal size of 24. A wide range of split grommets is available: the small grommets are suitable for cables with a diameter of 2 to 17 mm, while the large grommets can accommodate cables up to 35 mm. Grommets with 1, 2 and 4 openings are available as standard, and double membranes ensure that the systems are securely sealed. The housing of the new cable glands is separable and can therefore be retrofitted. The same sealing units from the multiple feed-through range are used. They are available for screw or snap-in mounting for protection classes IP 54 to IP 66 in straight or angled housings. Diaphragm plates, for feed-through electric cables without plug connectors, offer a cost-effective solution for lower sealing requirements. A comprehensive range of accessories is available, including blanking covers, sealing plugs, snap-in frames, grommets with threaded inserts or integrated pressure compensation elements.
