Absolute encoder from TR-Electronic with freely configurable analog interface Even in the age of Industrial Ethernet, IO-Link and Industry 4.0, analog signal transmission is still widespread and is used in new systems. It is a very cheap alternative on the control side if the desired resolution is suitable for analog transmission. Even the simplest controllers have analog interfaces that can be used for simple position or speed feedback. And - implemented as a current interface - larger transmission lengths can also be implemented easily. The analog interface from TR-Electronic in the latest encoder series is a true all-rounder. The multiturn position signal can be used as the basic variable for the 16-bit D / A converter. The speed signal can be used as well. When the position value is selected, the start and end point of the converted range can be freely set within the entire multiturn measuring range. You can also configure whether the analog signal is output as voltage (0..10V, -10..10V) or current (0..20mA, 4..20mA). As a current interface with "live zero", the analog interface provides a very effective method of implementing secure transmission. Live zero interface reliably monitors both the function of the encoder and wire break quite simple without protocols and software and on just two wires. Thanks to the modular concept of the latest generation of encoders from TR-Electronic, the analog interface is available for all detection systems. Magnetic detection offers sufficient resolution even for positioning over several revolutions, high-resolution, optical detections provide enough position resolutions to control the analog signal even with the smallest movement ranges. All mechanical variants are available with the new analog interface: size 58 with solid shaft, blind hole and hollow shaft up to 15 mm, in size 80 with continuous hollow shaft up to 27 mm, in size 110 with continuous hollow shaft up to 50 mm.

The PxtRX devices are predestined for applications in connection with higher energy density storage units, such as double layer capacitors or batteries. The PxtRX is designed for a current load capacity of 30 Ampere continuous and 60 Ampere peak for 45 seconds. In combination with a high storage voltage of up to 800 Volt DC, the device is able to generate a power of up to 48 kilowatts. If this performance is not sufficient for the application, several PxtRX devices can be connected in parallel. Depending on the application, active energy management systems that fill control cabinets can thus be created.

The PxtKX is a short-term UPS (uninterruptible power supply) for electric drives. With optimized power electronics and proven storage capacitors, the PxtKX offers an economical solution for the increasingly frequent “worst-case scenario” of weak power grids.

The PxtFX devices are predestined for applications with frequent, short cycles. With a current load capability of 20 Ampere continous and 40 Ampere peak for about one minute compared to storages, which may have a maximum voltage of 450 volts DC, the PxtFX can generate up to 18 kilowatts of power. The device can be equipped ex works with a storage volume of two or four kilojoules. The active devices with the designation PxtFX are supplemented by the PxtEX, the modular storage unit with one or more aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

With a current load capacity of 5 amperes effective continuous and 40 amperes peak for 3 seconds compared to the storage unit, which may have a maximum voltage of 450 volts DC, the PxtTX device can generate up to 18 kilowatts of power. The device has a closed housing to provide special protection against suspended particles in the air. Heat is dissipated by convection via heat sinks. The device can be equipped ex works with a storage volume of two or four kilowatt seconds. Built into the device as standard is the automatic detection of the brake transistor switch-on voltage threshold, which enables the device to work with all commercially available frequency inverters and servo controllers in a plug play manner. The extensive safety features of the PxtTX protect against reverse polarity of the DC link connections, against the connection of loaded memories and against overloading the system on both the memory and DC link sides. Internal fuses are standard. The PxtTX device is equipped with the option of inserting an SD memory card, an external 24-volt power supply, status indicators via LEDs, boot loading and reset options and 6 digital I/Os. This is supplemented by output functions via a USB module.

The application is also referred to as a “short-term UPS”: Connected directly to the DC link of the drive or drive system or to a DC grid, the systems with the designation KTS-B deliver the necessary energy without interruption to bridge voltage fluctuations or power failures and thus help the machine or system to get into a safe position. The design of a “short-term UPS” system is carried out using a simulation calculation based on the application data. The control cabinet size, from small to large, is flexibly adapted to the individual requirements.

KTS refers to the standard control cabinets that we offer in the event that our energy management devices no longer find room in the control cabinet of the machine or system. After all, many machine operators also want to use the advantages of our energy management systems for existing machines. Retrofitting is the keyword for this. But for new machines. For these situations, we can equip control cabinets to suit the individual application and supply them fully assembled and ready for connection.

The back exoskeleton B900 reduces physical strain and fatigue when working in a forward-leaning position and when lifting and carrying. Thanks to powerful motors, the exoskeleton provides support of up to 30 kg and provides targeted relief for the lower back muscles and intervertebral discs. Thanks to preset support modes, the power can be flexibly adapted to individual requirements and work processes. The B900 back exoskeleton impresses with its quick donning and doffing in just a few seconds and unique freedom of movement - whether walking, squatting or performing complex full-body movements. The patented mechanism enables natural movement sequences and integrates seamlessly into existing processes. The B900 back exoskeleton is available for €6,900 excluding VAT.

The S700 active shoulder exoskeleton reduces strain and fatigue when working overhead or at chest height: it provides pneumatic support with up to 15 kg of additional force, thereby noticeably and demonstrably relieving the neck and shoulder muscles. Employees can individually adjust the strength and type of support. They can put it on and take it off in seconds. A pause mode also enables secondary activities. This allows the S700 to be effectively integrated into existing work processes. The S700 is available for €3,500 (excl. VAT plus shipping), was developed in Hamburg and is produced in southern Germany.
