Flexible Packaging Solutions with Water-Based Printing Inks
Our water-based printing ink systems have been specifically developed for flexible packaging applications and set new benchmarks in sustainability, safety, and performance. The systems are suitable for both flexographic and gravure printing and can be used for surface as well as reverse printing. They cover a broad range of applications, including food and pet food packaging, beverage labels, shrink films, aluminium lids, hygiene products, as well as paper and board solutions. The water-dilutable formulations enable fast cleaning procedures and short set-up times. Thanks to their low VOC content, fire and explosion risks are eliminated and no thermal afterburning is required, significantly reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs. At the same time, the systems ensure a high level of occupational safety and support companies in achieving their sustainability targets. Despite their strong environmental profile, the inks deliver brilliant, highly pigmented colours, excellent halftone reproduction, and a stable print process with reduced waste. Monopigmented concentrates provide pure shades and high colour strength with minimal ink consumption. In addition, the systems offer excellent adhesion on common film substrates such as PE, PP, PET, and PA, as well as high lamination bond strength for reliable laminate performance. The inks are suitable for food contact packaging and comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including solutions for compostable substrates. The portfolio is complemented by white systems, effect inks, primers, varnishes, and additives that can be individually tailored to substrate and process requirements. The result is cost-efficient, safe, and sustainable printing solutions for modern flexible packaging concepts.

Pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA)
Pressure-sensitive adhesives are permanently tacky, non-curing systems based on synthetic rubbers such as styrenic block copolymers (SIS, SBS, SEBS). Designed for permanent and reclosable bonding applications, they retain their tack even after cooling and provide excellent adhesion to challenging substrates. These adhesives are widely used in transport and shipping packaging, labeling, adhesive tapes, assembly support bonding, as well as in the production of mattresses and upholstered products. Key benefits and applications: - Very high initial tack for immediate bond formation - Excellent flow characteristics for optimized wet-out - Flexible bond line to accommodate material movement - Homogeneous and fast melting behavior for efficient processing - Suitable for common application methods, including nozzle, roller, and spin-spray systems

EVA and EBA hot melt adhesives
EVA and EBA hot melt adhesives are high-performance thermoplastic systems widely used across multiple industries and play a key role in the packaging sector. EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) hot melts are the proven standard for efficient and cost-effective production processes. They offer high bond strength, excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, and strong initial tack, enabling high-speed operations in end-of-line packaging, case and carton sealing, and tray forming. Their flexibility and reliable processability contribute to secure, durable packaging solutions and smooth production workflows. EBA (ethylene-butyl acrylate) hot melt adhesives extend the performance range for more demanding applications. They provide enhanced thermal stability and outstanding flexibility, even at low temperatures. In addition, they offer excellent resistance to moisture, ensuring reliable bonding performance under challenging environmental conditions. For specialty packaging, temperature-sensitive goods, or applications exposed to climatic stress, EBA systems deliver added security and process stability. Together, EVA and EBA hot melt technologies make a significant contribution to efficient, safe, and high-performance packaging solutions – covering everything from standard, high-volume applications to demanding specialty requirements.
