PapairWrap – the paper bubble wrap Papair is a young company based in Hanover. Since 2020, we have been developing and producing innovative paper bubble wrap as a fully recyclable alternative to plastic-based protective packaging. Material innovation and scalable production technology are closely intertwined in this process. This results in high-performance packaging solutions for e-commerce, logistics, and consumer goods. Production takes place at our own production site in Rethem an der Aller, Lower Saxony. The innovative, patented manufacturing process enables the production of paper bubble wrap in widths of 350 and 800 mm. PapairWrap is used as the basis for other packaging solutions such as bags and pre-cut sheets for industry and trade. All products are available in single or double layers. No plastics or adhesives are used in the manufacturing process. PapairWrap consists of a single material and can be completely recycled in the paper cycle. Functional surface coatings also make the packaging suitable as scratch protection for sensitive surfaces and for applications involving moisture or water contact. The coated versions also remain fully recyclable. Papair provides companies with comprehensive, process-oriented support in their transition to sustainable packaging solutions. Peakboard is an innovative low-code solution for industrial data visualisation, specifically designed for use in production, logistics, and other operational areas. It enables the creation of customised dashboards that display relevant real-time information exactly where it is needed – at workstations, on machines, or on large displays on the shop floor. The solution seamlessly connects OT (Operational Technology) and IT through a combination of free design software (Peakboard Designer) and visualisation hardware (Peakboard Box), or via a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) option. What makes Peakboard stand out is its ability to visualise production, machine, or ERP data interactively and in real time. Thanks to its drag-and-drop interface, users can get started without any programming knowledge. Peakboard supports a wide range of data sources including OPC UA, MQTT, SAP, SQL databases, Excel, and REST APIs, making it a fast, straightforward link between IT and OT right at the point of use. Another key advantage is its interactivity: dashboards can process inputs via touchscreens, scanners, or RFID readers – for instance, to report faults or request materials. Each Peakboard Box operates independently and autonomously, eliminating the need for a central server infrastructure. This reduces complexity, cuts costs, and makes it ideal for industrial environments. Organisations benefit from greater transparency and faster response times. Data previously scattered across various systems or only available with delays can now be accessed and visualised in real time, tailored to specific use cases. This leads to improved decision-making, optimised processes, and empowered employees. The solution’s ease of use allows for implementation within just a few days – perfect for agile projects or quick proof-of-concepts. Typical use cases include production lines showing OEE, cycle times and order statuses; assembly stations with digital work instructions; logistics areas with material flow visualisation or inventory levels; and maintenance operations with fault reporting and machine data. Real-world examples include the Giesser knife factory, which combines machine and SAP data for live shop floor visualisation – reducing queries, saving time, and supporting staff. At Merck Contract Logistics, Peakboard replaces physical shopfloor boards with digital dashboards to enhance transparency in warehouse processes, in collaboration with technology partner Softing. Peakboard consists of the Designer, the Box/BYOD option, and the Hub, and can be flexibly integrated into existing systems. It makes data visualisation simple, practical, and highly effective.
