Thermal Inkjet Printing Systems (TIJ)
The Industrial Labeling Revolution
In today's industry, precision, speed, and reliability are the cornerstones of efficient production. Particularly in the area of product marking and packaging coding, requirements have become significantly more stringent in recent years. Legal regulations regarding traceability, complex 2D codes, and ever-faster production lines demand printing solutions that are both high-resolution and low-maintenance. In this context, thermal inkjet (TIJ) printing technology has established itself as one of the most versatile and efficient solutions worldwide.
Flexibility in materials and font sizes
The applications for TIJ marking systems are virtually unlimited. Whether smooth surfaces like metal, glass, and plastics, or absorbent materials like paper and cardboard – the technology adapts to the conditions. A standard printhead offers a print height of up to 12.7 mm (1/2 inch). However, larger markings are often required in industrial practice. This is where the modularity of the systems becomes apparent: By combining up to four printheads, character heights of up to 50.8 mm can be achieved, enabling the printing of large-format logos or shipping information.
Using an ink cartridge with a 25.4 mm (1 inch) printhead, character, barcode, or logo heights of up to 101.6 mm can be reached.
