To ensure high availability, atvise® scada from Bachmann Visutec offers hot standby redundancy in native web technology. This solution ensures high availability and continuous operation, which is particularly crucial for critical industrial applications.
In hot standby mode, one atvise® scada server takes over operations while the other server runs in the background. Should the active server fail, the redundant server takes over seamlessly and without loss of information. This ensures that processes continue to run without interruption. The non-operational server always remains up-to-date thanks to the complete synchronization of all process data. The same values, alarms and historical data are available on both servers, which prevents a loss of information when switching.
Targeted buffering of process data also allows for switching without data loss when changing the operational server. Split operation allows application updates to be installed quickly and easily. While one server remains in operation, the update can be installed and tested on the second server. After a successful test, a mouse click is all that is needed to switch to redundancy operation and the update is automatically synchronized. This ensures that operation is not interrupted so that the latest functions can be used seamlessly.
System health is configured via parameterizable vital status tables or other system statuses such as the current CPU utilization. Based on the prioritization in the vital status tables, the system automatically switches to the redundant server pair that offers better availability.
