Strengthening backs, relieving strain on workers: exoIQ presents new electric exoskeleton B900

Back pain is a widespread health problem – especially in workplaces where physical labor is part of everyday life. In manufacturing, logistics, and skilled trades, it leads to high rates of absenteeism and production losses. According to the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), around 60 percent of sick leave in Europe is attributable to musculoskeletal disorders. With its new B900 back exoskeleton, the Hamburg-based company exoIQ now offers a solution to relieve the strain on workers. Exoskeletons are wearable support systems that accompany movement and specifically reduce strain. The B900's unique feature worldwide is that it combines high support with unrestricted freedom of movement as an electric exoskeleton. The B900 is the first electric exoskeleton that strengthens the back with high support while simultaneously allowing unrestricted freedom of movement. Setting new standards for healthy working: Two motors at hip level and an innovative hip and central joint ensure that the exoskeleton follows the wearer's natural movements and supports the back muscles and spine. This allows employees in production, logistics, and skilled trades to perform their work more easily and with less strain on their backs. The exoskeleton provides up to 30 kg of support while weighing less than six kilograms. Depending on usage, a single battery charge lasts for up to eight hours of support. The B900 is developed and manufactured in Germany. The price is €6,900 excluding VAT. Holistic approach to prevention and productivity: With the B900, exoIQ expands its portfolio with another electric exoskeleton: Following the S700 shoulder exoskeleton, which has been on the market since 2023, a solution specifically for the back is now available.
