As a stand-alone device with an integrated power supply, it is primarily designed for drive-based motion tasks. The Ethernet-based EtherCAT® and PROFINET® fieldbus systems are available as firmware-based variants. With the CiA 402 or PROFIdrive® device profiles, the SB6 can be seamlessly integrated into drive controller- or controller-based motion solutions.
SB6 is available as a single-axis controller in three sizes with a nominal output current of up to 32 A. It is suitable for machines with up to four axes and low to medium power. Both linear and rotational synchronous servo motors and Lean motors can be controlled.
The drive controller can also be extended by the safety standards STO and SS1 via Fail Safe over EtherCAT (FSoE) and PROFIsafe® up to PL e, category 4 (EN 13849-1). An additional safety module for control via digital inputs and outputs is also available.
