TR provides EPLAN-Macros for absolute, rotary encoders.
TR-Electronic now offers EPLAN macros for download for the various standard rotary encoders of the C__582 series. This enables simple, seamless integration of the electrical side of the sensors from TR-Electronic into the electrical plan of the machine or system. Depending on how you work, different views can be used, which, for example, show bus and supply lines in separate units (for the separate documentation of data and supply lines) or together in one unit. If you work with pre-assembled cables and therefore do not need any detailed information about the cores of the bus cable, you can use a particularly compact representation. For integration in parts lists, it is advisable to store the part order number of the selected rotary encoder in the macro data. This means that parts lists can also be easily created using the electrical plan and the decisions made on the design, interface, shaft geometry... are clearly defined via the part number. Like all product documentation, the macros can be found in the downloads for the individual items on the TR-Electronic website via the product selector. The assignment to article numbers that can be ordered ensures that the macro valid for the respective rotary encoder is reliably identified. The EPLAN macros complement the already available STEP 3D data of the latest encoder generation from TR-Electronic. This allows users to efficiently and reliably integrate TR rotary encoders into the mechanical and electrical design of a machine or system. One housing, two independent rotary encoders, many flexible safety concepts
The requirements for reliability, availability and safety of machines and systems are increasing. Users meet the requirements with strategies for the design of the machine, system and control technology that are adapted to the application. TR-Electronic has set itself the goal of supporting a wide variety of structures and strategies with high-quality technical solutions. In addition to the SIL/PL-certified sensor solutions, there are also redundant versions that also enable other safety and high-availability concepts in the design. The CR_582 family integrates two rotary encoders in the space of a standard industrial encoder with a size of 58 mm. The position values are determined by two independent sensors and processed separately. Both sensors can also be parameterized differently from each other. The encoder transmits the values either via SSI, incremental or CANopen interface.

Time and again, manufacturers discontinue certain product series. Especially when it comes to interfaces developed many years ago, maintenance and development capacities are transferred from traditional systems to the latest technologies. The development cycles of sensor manufacturers and users are not always synchronized, meaning that there is still a need for traditional interfaces that is no longer satisfied by the original manufacturers. It is also increasingly being observed that manufacturers organized in corporate structures are less and less prepared for the individual requirements of medium-sized specialist automation companies. And what do you do when you are informed that an important component is no longer available? Either you change the rest of the technology, redesign the system or ask an experienced specialist for individual encoders for an alternative. TR Electronic has always been known for supporting many industrial interfaces for position sensors. TR Electronic's in-house development expertise allows it to draw on more than 40 years of experience and integrate both state-of-the-art and classic communication systems into the latest generations of devices. The mechanical connection can be adapted to existing environments with a high degree of freedom. The manufacturing technology of the medium-sized company allows production in manageable batch sizes. Quantities that are of no interest to others can be realized economically at TR. Direct contact between the user and manufacturer is required to ensure that a solution fits perfectly into the existing application. In the best case scenario, the user receives an encoder that can be used directly as a replacement for a discontinued product. Sometimes minor modifications to the mechanics or the control system are necessary. And this new encoder will be reliably available for a long time thanks to the latest technology. And it will be suitable for the existing application.

The encoTRive product family from TR Electronic stands for intelligent, decentralized drive solutions that combine motor, power electronics, control, and position detection in a compact housing. With supply voltages from 24 to 48 V and support for modern fieldbus systems such as EtherCAT, Profinet, Profibus, and CANopen, control and positioning tasks can be carried out efficiently and in a space-saving manner—without any control cabinet load or EMC-critical motor cables. Economy linear encoders from TR Electronic
Contactless, wear-free, reliable The magnetostrictive linear encoders from TR Electronic operate without contact and are therefore completely wear-free. A moving permanent magnet transmits the position to the measuring system – either guided directly by the customer's design or via a magnetic slide that is moved by the machine using ball joint shafts. The flat design in a robust profile housing allows direct mounting on the machine body and ensures easy integration into existing designs. The new Economy family – compact and cost-efficient With a typical resolution of 0.1 mm, the Economy series is ideal as a replacement for wear-prone linear potentiometers. The analog interface allows direct retrofitting without changes to the control system. SSI and IO-Link are available for digital applications – for reliable and standardized transmission of position values. Those who want to implement complex automation systems benefit from EtherCAT integration, which enables fast and deterministic communication. As a specialist in technically complex encoder solutions with a strong customer focus, TR Electronic has been one of the pioneers in SIL-certified encoders for many years. The latest standards and technical developments are incorporated into the product portfolio in all product areas, while at the same time expanding the possible areas of application and control systems. The compact CD_582 absolute encoders with functional safety from TR Electronic, which have just been certified by Profibus International (PNO), offer a range of new and enhanced features. The implementation of the latest versions of the protocol stacks on state-of-the-art hardware components ensures future-proof availability. New features at a glance: _ PROFINET Security Class 1 _ System redundancy S2 _ PROFIdrive encoder profile V4.2 _ PROFIsafe address type 2 _ Process data: Safe acceleration (SAV) in accordance with IEC 61800-5-3 Despite all the enhancements, the latest version of the CD_582+FS PROFINET remains compatible with existing applications, meaning that other encoder profiles are still available and can be used for secure transmissions. The compact CD_582+FS safety encoders are mechanically based on the successful Generation 2 of TR's absolute encoders. Solid shafts, blind shafts, and through hollow shafts with various diameters are available as standard. The positive locking from the customer shaft to the scanning, as well as the redundantly designed multiturn gear, meet the high requirements for functions that must comply with the SIL3 or PLe safety standard. The latest generation of the CD_582+FS with PROFINET PROFIsafe also allows users to seamlessly integrate the encoders into their systems and ensures the future availability of their safe drive functions.

Absolute multi-turn encoder with IO-Link interface
If a machine or plant has already integrated IO-Link as a bus system, it makes sense to also control absolute encoders with this bus system. The actual value communication is compatible with normal digital initiator communication between the encoder and the next distribution node in star distribution. This can collect a lot of information and usually connects via powerful Industrial Ethernet to the higher-level controller. Position and speed are provided for the process. With operating hours counter and device status, the absolute encoder also provides data for preventive machine maintenance. C__582 with IO-Link provides the option of converting internal states into programmable switching states of the digital output.

Absolute rotary encoders Analog Interface
Absolute encoder from TR-Electronic with freely configurable analog interface Even in the age of Industrial Ethernet, IO-Link and Industry 4.0, analog signal transmission is still widespread and is used in new systems. It is a very cheap alternative on the control side if the desired resolution is suitable for analog transmission. Even the simplest controllers have analog interfaces that can be used for simple position or speed feedback. And - implemented as a current interface - larger transmission lengths can also be implemented easily. The analog interface from TR-Electronic in the latest encoder series is a true all-rounder. The multiturn position signal can be used as the basic variable for the 16-bit D / A converter. The speed signal can be used as well. When the position value is selected, the start and end point of the converted range can be freely set within the entire multiturn measuring range. You can also configure whether the analog signal is output as voltage (0..10V, -10..10V) or current (0..20mA, 4..20mA). As a current interface with "live zero", the analog interface provides a very effective method of implementing secure transmission. Live zero interface reliably monitors both the function of the encoder and wire break quite simple without protocols and software and on just two wires. Thanks to the modular concept of the latest generation of encoders from TR-Electronic, the analog interface is available for all detection systems. Magnetic detection offers sufficient resolution even for positioning over several revolutions, high-resolution, optical detections provide enough position resolutions to control the analog signal even with the smallest movement ranges. All mechanical variants are available with the new analog interface: size 58 with solid shaft, blind hole and hollow shaft up to 15 mm, in size 80 with continuous hollow shaft up to 27 mm, in size 110 with continuous hollow shaft up to 50 mm.

The CIB2X supports ATEX applications and aggressive environments and facilitates the integration of Industrial Ethernet. This preserves full interface diversity, regardless of the available installation space.
