Matrixumrichter U1000
Yaskawa U1000 – Low Harmonics Regenerative Matrix Converter The Yaskawa U1000 is a top-of-the-line frequency inverter based on innovative matrix converter technology. As a direct AC-to-AC converter without a DC bus, it combines three functions in one compact unit: standard drive, harmonic filter, and regenerative unit – with no external components required. Clean Power Quality Thanks to sinusoidal input currents, the U1000 achieves a total harmonic distortion of THDi < 5 % (IEEE 519 compliant) at a power factor of 0.98. This significantly reduces stress on transformers, generators, and cables – eliminating the need for oversizing. Full Power Regeneration Braking energy is fed directly back into the grid and made available to other consumers in the building. Braking resistors that waste energy as heat become entirely unnecessary, significantly reducing fire risk, cooling requirements, and operating costs. Compact Footprint Compared to conventional solutions with separate regenerative units and harmonic filters, the U1000 saves up to 50 % of cabinet space. Connection principle: 3 wires in, 3 wires out – nothing more required. Built-in Functional Safety Integrated SIL3/PLe STO input (TÜV-certified) without external wiring. All common fieldbus systems (PROFINET, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP and others) are supported via option cards. Maintenance-Free & Long-Lasting The capacitor-free design is engineered for 10 years of maintenance-free continuous operation. Four international awards in Japan, Europe, and the USA confirm the technological uniqueness of this product. Power range: 2.2–500 kW | Supply voltage: 3×380–480 V AC | Protection class: IP20/IP54

Sinusumrichter Optimal

Leistungsbereich: 19–4.000 kW | Netzspannung: 380–690 V AC

Emotron VFX – Liquid-Cooled Frequency Inverter for Synchronous Torque Motors
The Emotron VFX in liquid-cooled configuration (LC) is the ideal drive solution for operating high-pole synchronous torque motors with permanent magnets. As the powerful core of modern direct drive systems, it combines precise control with a compact design and maximum efficiency. Thanks to field-oriented vector control (FOC), the inverter delivers full torque from standstill – without gearboxes, without mechanical wear. Combined with a water-cooled synchronous torque motor, the result is a drive system that achieves the highest power density with minimal footprint. The overall system efficiency significantly surpasses conventional drive solutions using asynchronous motors and gearboxes. The liquid cooling of the inverter enables compact installation even in confined control cabinets and demanding industrial environments – the IP54 protection rating reliably shields against dust and water spray. Mains harmonics are limited to THDi < 5 % by active front-end technology (AFE), avoiding costly overdimensioning of cables and transformers. The PROFINET interface enables seamless integration into higher-level control architectures. Safety functions such as Safe Torque Off (STO) are included as standard. Available for power ratings up to the MW range, the system is suited for presses, extruders, mixers, shredders, and other heavy-industry applications where precise torque, high availability, and energy efficiency are decisive factors.
