Jacob - your specialist for Cable Entry Systems and Measuring Technology

The basis for our success story was founded in 1922:
Wilhelm Jacob begins in the West of Stuttgart with the production of brass turning parts for the electrical industry on Fasson automatic turning machines. At this time he starts to present his company at the Leipzig Exhibition and establishes contacts for the business abroad.
Continuous growth and the expansion of the production programmes require a number of relocations. From Fellbach and Waiblingen the way finally leads to Kernen-Rommelshausen. At this location we combine the consolidated business of the company - and still have enough space for future extensions.
Today we produce on modern injection moulding machines and CNC-multiple-spindle-turning machines. 200 employes develop, manufacture and distribute cable glands in brass, stainless-steel and plastic. An additional focus of our company: For more than 30 years we produce measuring technology. We provide standard-product lines as well as customized solutions for specific applications.
Our products are being used worldwidej - by now we deliver to 70 countries. Wheather to the electrical industry, the panel building, machine building or to the electro wholesaler: As your competent partner we offer extensive customer service and support. Our complete production is "Made in Germany" and guarantees highest quality!
We know, that flexibility and velocity are important for the satisfaction of our customers. Our new Logistic and Production Centre enables us to deliver the goods in time. That is what we understand by best possible service.
To this day the descendants of the company´s founder take influence in the business. For us, tradition and continuity do not exclude each other. We feel comitted to our customers.

Kabelverschraubungen mix

Die Jacob GmbH in Kernen produziert Kabelverschraubungen aus Kunststoff, Messing und Edelstahl. Die Marke Jacob steht seit 1922 für Qualität und Zuverlässigkeit bei Komponenten für die Kabeleinführung in der Elektrotechnik. Mit der Einführung der Hutmutter-Verschraubung hat Jacob in den 90er Jahren die Kabelverschraubung deutlich weiterentwickelt. Unsere Kabeleinführungen sind leicht zu montieren, bieten hohe Schutzarten und sind besonders langlebig. Wir bieten ein breites Sortiment für Anwendungen in allen Branchen: UV- und wetterbeständige Verschraubungen, Biegeschutz, Zugentlastung, EMV – alles kein Problem.

Bypass - Float Switches

Float switch made of VA in an aluminium bypass housing is a high-quality measuring and control device for the reliable monitoring of fill levels. The medium (e.g. water, oil or chemicals) enters the bypass via an inlet and outlet opening, whereby the liquid level in the bypass corresponds exactly to that in the main tank. This means that the measurement can be carried out independently of the turbulent flow behaviour or mechanical installations in the main tank, which enables interference-free and more precise detection. The high-quality stainless steel offers high corrosion resistance and robustness. This makes these switches ideal for use in demanding and harsh industrial environments.

Control Stations ATEX/IECEX

Die HazCon Befehls- und Steuergeräte von Hawke und Killark sind nach ATEX- und IECex-Standard zertifiziert und durch die cULus-Zulassung auch für den Einsatz in den USA und Kanada geeignet. Die ATEX & IECEx-zertifizierten Produkte sind zusätzlich mit EAC und Inmetro gekennzeichnet, wodurch die Geräte auch für die Installation in Brasilien, Russland, Weißrussland und Kasachstan einsetzbar sind. HAWKE und Killark bieten eine große Auswahl an Drucktastern und 2- oder 3-Wege-Wählschaltern. Diese dienen zur Aktivierung und Überprüfung von Steuerungssystemen in abgelegenen Umgebungen und zur Aufrechterhaltung der Bedienersicherheit mit Not-Aus-Systemen.

Suction lances

Level measurement devices for various Industrial applications of Water treatment, Machine building, Chemical- and Pharmaceutical Industry, as well in railway technology and automotive engineering. The tube-in-tube system of Jacob‘s suction lance FlexLance guarantees a high level of sustainability, as it is space-saving and highly efficient. Due to the low suction point and the integrated suction line, there is an optimisation of the optimal consumption of the media. The length of the FlexLance can be adjusted easily using a screw connection and can therefore be used for different containers. Optionally, the suction lance is suitable for different opening diameters in the canister, even without a lid, with an attached plug for quick assembly.
